Chinese Birthday Cake Flavour Oreo Review

Birthday Cake flavour Oreos is actually something that we have tried before on Food Review UK. When we went to Florida in October last year, I picked up a packet from there. They were sweet, with a distinctly "Birthday Cake" flavoured creme and a slight added texture from the sugar sprinkles - I really liked them and you can watch the review at the bottom of this blog post.

But today we are reviewing the Chinese version. I wasn't sure what to expect - some of the Chinese products have been very different to their American counterparts, like the vanilla biscuit with chocolate creme, but the packaging and design on this one was nearly the same as the U.S. version.

I tried it with the banter boys and I can say the difference was neglible. In fact, I couldn't tell the difference. The over-sweetness of the creme is balanced very nicely by the deep, rich cocoa or chocolately flavour of the biscuit. Another excellent Oreo Cookie and a weird flavour, or strange flavour that once again....we will probably never see in the United Kingdom.

Subway Big Beefy & Chorizo Melt Review

I recently had the chance to try the new Subway UK Big Beefy & Chorizo Melt. I've always wanted to try the big beefy - I am a big fan of burgers and it basically looks like a burger. Turns out, it basically is. Burger flavour, and it was a bit weird about it being in a Subway sandwich haha. It's a good sandwich though, very good actually, the chorizo went really well and it had a bit of a kick to it, very nice depth of flavour. Check out the video review below.

Pots & Co Salted Caramel & Chocolate Pot Review

I was recently purchased a Pots & Co Salted Caramel Chocolate pot by one of my dear friends at work. He was talking about how fantastic it was and I was surprised and happy to see one sitting on my desk the day after.

Mere words cannot do this velvety, premium, sweet, salty treat justice so check out the video below.

Pizza Hut UK Classic Crust Review

Pizza Hut in the United Kingdom (one of the biggest pizza delivery chain restaurants in the country) have launched a brand new crust to sit alongside their other offerings; Italian, Pan, Gluten Free, Stuffed Crust and the ever popular Cheesy Bites.

This new one is called the Classic Crust, probably named as such as it seems to be an American classic style with a thin base, thick outer crust and dusted with garlic butter flavoured seasoning.

I tried it last night and am happy to report...it's pretty good. Watch the video above to see my live reaction, but in summary - the thinness of the base is something that I really like. If I ever go to Dominos I love their thin and crispy crust. This one isn't crispy, but it's still good. The crust itself is very good - airy and light in the middle with a crisp outer crust. The seasoning is really what you would expect....strong on garlic flavour, quite salty and heavily seasoned and with a punch of herbiness too (I believe parsley).

It is good enough that if I were to order from Pizza Hut again, I'd probably veer towards this crust. I don't believe there was any additional cost for the crust, and it is only available on Large.

Let me know in the comments if you've tried the product and stay tuned for more reviews.

Florida Food Diary | Day 6

Welcome to the latest edition of my Florida Food Diary. It's been six months and I still have not got this entire thing up. I will do soon though. This uk food reviews blog or food reviews uk blog as you may call it will start to buck it's ideas up!

On Wedneday 8th October, we went to SeaWorld.

I had Dippin Dot's cookie dough flavour at SeaWorld, in fact, here is my review for them.

I then had Hot Dog and Chips for lunch, also at SeaWorld and it was pretty good! Standard affair really.

Finally at SeaWorld I had a melon flavour Icee. It was really good, and in the insane heat it was extremely refreshing.

Dinner was absolutely incredible. We had Red Lobster. It was amazing.

We started with Garlic & Cheese biscuits, they were light and airy and delicious.

For my main I had Coconut Shrimp with Crispy Red Potatoes and Broccoli. My meal sounded too cheap,...I envisioned getting five shrimps as my main course, so I "added 5" to make sure it was substantial. That wasn't necessary. I had like...17 shrimp. It was incredible.

Welcome to another website exclusive review on the uk's premier food review platform, Food Review UK.

Today we review an American product...a Pina Colada of sorts from the fine chocolate producers Lindt. This is their "Hello My Name Is" Brand and I believe the only white chocolate variety.

Feast your eyes on the video below to see what we thought.

Florida Food Diary | Day 5

Welcome to the latest edition of my Florida Food Diary. It's been six months and I still have not got this entire thing up. I will do soon though. This uk food reviews blog or food reviews uk blog as you may call it will start to buck it's ideas up!

Anyway, here we go...Day 5!

We apparently had "snacky bits" for breakfast - this is what I've described it as in my diary.

Mickey Mouse Ice Cream sandwich for lunch at Disney World Magic Kingdom. I was actually quite surprised by this one, it was pretty delicious. The Mickey cookie portions were soft chewy, dark cookies and the ice cream in the middle had a lovely milky taste. It was great as it melted in the heat. This is making me sad.

I then had a corn dog. Also at Magic Kingdom. Ever since I tried Corn dogs in San Francisco just over a decade ago, I have absolutely loved them and always taken the rare opportunity to eat them. The almost nutty, corny batter on the outside has a great texture and goes so well with the sausage. Incredible.

TGI Friday for dinner! AKA Fridays - wow, this was so disappointing! TGI Fridays in the UK is one of our favourite chain restaurants but in the USA it just wasn't up to the standards of everywhere else. I had an overcooked, fatty steak with parmesan fries which sounded great but lacked flavour and were mushy and not crispy at all, and they were big too, a bit like soggy fries. Not good.

That's it! Tune in next time when we went to Sea World!
